FIELD: catalytic chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of catalytic chemistry, in particular to methods for the preparation of copper-zinc-aluminum-magnesium oxide catalysts used in the synthesis of methanol and low-temperature steam conversion of CO. The method includes co-deposition of copper, zinc, aluminum and magnesium nitric acid salts from solutions of copper, zinc, aluminum, and magnesium nitrates on a pre-precipitated ZnAl stabilizer with a solution of sodium carbonate at a given temperature and pH, followed by precipitation, washing, drying, calcination. Precipitation of a solution of zinc and aluminum nitrates preheated to 65°C is carried out, with a solution of sodium carbonate heated to 65°C with constant stirring, followed by exposure at 65-70°C, filtration and washing of the resulting precipitate with deionized water at a temperature of 45°C, with further introduction of the resulting ZnAl stabilizer into a preheated to 65°C solution of copper, zinc, aluminum and magnesium nitrates with constant stirring, exposure at 65°C for 10-20 minutes, with subsequent co-precipitation of the resulting total solution with a preheated sodium carbonate solution by pouring two solutions into a reactor with constant stirring and maintaining a set temperature and pH, holding at constant stirring and temperature for 30-40 minutes, filtering, washing the sediment, drying at a temperature of 90-120°C and calcination at a temperature of 300°C for 2-4 hours.

EFFECT: increase in the specific surface area of the obtained copper-aluminum oxide catalyst in order to achieve a uniform distribution of components.
