FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to low-temperature conversion of blue gas by conversion of CO and H2O in gas flow into CO2 and H2 in the presence of catalyst. Proposed method comprises bringing said gas flow in contact with reduced catalyst under reaction conditions of blue gas low-temperature conversion. Said catalyst is produced from catalyst containing 5 to 75 wt % of copper oxide, 5 to 70 wt % of zinc oxide and 5 to 50 wt % of aluminium oxide with dispersity factor of 40% or higher for water after peptisation at pH of about 2 to about 5. Invention covers also the conversion with blue gas conversion catalyst from dispersed aluminium oxide and precipitated copper and zinc compound produced by the process including: (a) addition of dispersed aluminium oxide suspension to solution of copper and zinc salts to get suspension of aluminium oxide and copper and zinc salts; (b) preparing aqueous solution of alkali metal carbonate; (c) combining aluminium oxide suspension and solution of copper and zinc salts and alkali metal carbonate solution with water to form precipitate to be oxidised; (d) precipitate filtration washout, drying and calcining to form blue gas conversion catalyst; (e) reduction of said catalyst in hydrogen-bearing gas to produce reduced blue gas conversion catalyst.
EFFECT: higher activity of catalyst.
