FIELD: measurement; cosmonautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technique of trajectory measurements, determination of coordinates of spacecrafts (SC) and can be used on ground and on-board SC flight control systems for accurate determination of current parameters of SC motion. Method of determining coordinates of main spacecraft (MSC) x1, y1 and z1 and adjacent spacecraft (ASC) x2, y2, z2 includes: measurement of time delays ΔtK1 and ΔtK2 in a receiving-transmitting radio station (RTRS) due to correlation processing of radio signals between the transmitted test radio signal of RTRS and its received implementations after relaying MSC and ASC; measurement of time delays ΔtH1 and ΔtH2 in RTRS due to correlation processing of radio signals between the transmitted test radio signal of the emitting supporting reference station (ESRS) and its received implementations after retransmission of the MSC and the ASC; measurement of time delays Δtn in the RTRS due to correlation processing of radio signals for each n-th earth station (ES) between received radio signals after their retransmission by MSC and ASC, respectively; calculating coordinates MSC x1, y1, z1 and ASC x2, y2, z2 based on said time delays of radio signals of the system.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining coordinates of SC due to transmission and reception of test radio signals of RTRS, selection of ES and placement of RTRS, ESRS so that mutual distances between them were maximum, and their coordinates would be simultaneously in coverage areas of MSC and ASC at the moment of time t0.
