SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of energy, in particular to testing pipelines of heat exchangers for strength and density, and can be used at nuclear and thermal power plants. The method includes shutting off pipelines, in which air is removed through standardly installed air vents, after which the pumps smoothly and evenly raise the pressure in the pipelines to the test pressure, upon reaching which the pumps are turned off and the pressure valves are closed, exposure is carried out for a time specified in the operating instructions to stabilize the pressure in pipelines. At the same time, a complete inspection of pipelines, fittings and equipment participating in the tests is carried out, after which the pipelines are emptied. At the same time, to shut off the pipelines, the fittings, which are a continuation of the pipelines inside the heat exchanger, are provided with welded flanges, flange plugs are attached to the welded flanges with the help of bolted connections, and sealing gaskets are installed between the flange plugs and the welded flanges. In addition, flange plugs designed to shut off pipelines connected to the lower part of heat exchangers are equipped with air vents to remove air from pipelines.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility to fully test the strength and density of the entire pipeline, including the fitting welded into the heat exchanger casing, to significantly reduce the labor intensity and cost of assembly and disassembly work during testing.
