SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lubricants, namely to environmentally friendly plastic lubricants intended for use in heavily loaded rolling and sliding friction units in a wide range of loads and speeds, in the temperature range from -50 to 150°C. A biodegradable lubricant is described, containing as a base oil a biodegradable oil or a mixture of at least one base oil selected from a lubricating base oil of the mineral oil type, a synthetic lubricating base oil and a biodegradable lubricating base oil, according to the invention, the lubricant as a thickener contains lithium-calcium soap of 12-oxystearic acid, as additives that improve tribotechnical properties, those are sodium tetraborate and sulphated oil, in addition, the lubricant contains succinic acid, at the following component ratios, wt. %: 12-oxystearic acid 7.3-10.3, calcium hydroxide 0.3-0.5, lithium hydroxide 0.2-0.7, sodium tetraborate 2.0-4.3, glycerin 0.9-2.1, sulphated oil 6.8-9.0, succinic acid 0,4-1,0, Turbonicoil-98 base oil 6,5-15,6 , vegetable oil (for example, ginger, rapeseed or unrefined sunflower) up to 100.

EFFECT: implementation of the invention provides an environmentally friendly biodegradable plastic lubricant with a large range of application temperatures and good lubricating properties, as well as a degree of biodegradation of at least 80%.
