FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to semiconductor lighting engineering, in particular, to high-capacity LED illuminators for illuminating industrial facilities, retail spaces, sports fields, premises for military purposes, open spaces, recreational areas, courtyards, etc. Claimed LED illuminator with a remote luminophor and internal cooling comprises a protected body with light-transmitting walls with a volumetric module assembled inside equipped with emitters based on short-wave LEDs, a mains converter, and means of cooling and mounting the illuminator at the site. Installed inside the body of the illuminator is a pipeline made to transmit coolant air, made of a heat-conducting material with a volumetric module assembled in thermal contact on the outer walls thereof equipped with emitters on blue, light blue or white spectrum LEDs and forming a tubular conduction-convection heat exchanger coupled tightly at opposite ends with the branch pipes of the holes in the end walls of the body, transmitting the ambient air at the input of the body for internal cooling of the illuminator; and at the output from the body, the pipeline of the heat exchanger forms a subsonic diffuser transmitting an air flow created by natural draught due to the temperature and pressure difference during operation in the pipeline and in the environment and due to the effect of gravitational forces when the spatial orientation of the illuminator is near vertical.
EFFECT: improved heat parameters, higher light efficiency and operation life, minimised dimensions of the high-capacity illuminator with a simultaneous reduction in the consumption of structural materials and luminophor when using short-wave (blue, light blue, and white) LEDs.
