FIELD: mechanisms.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of slips inserts. A method for the manufacture of a slips insert part includes mechanical processing of a metal workpiece on lathes and milling machines with numerical control. The metal workpiece is obtained by melting in an induction furnace and centrifugal pouring of 18HGT steel. During centrifugal pouring, steel is poured in a mold with a diameter of 120 mm and a length of 180 mm, taking into account allowances for mechanical processing. The resulting hollow workpiece is cooled to a room temperature and transmitted to mechanical processing.
EFFECT: reduction in labor intensity of the manufacture of an insert due to the use, as a workpiece, of a hollow cast obtained by centrifugal casting.
