The presence during ophthalmoscopy of edema of the optic nerve disc and the peripapillary layer of retinal nerve fibers are determined; hemorrhages in the form of stripes on the surface of the disc and in the peripapillary zone. The age of the patient, the allergization index (AI), a marker of viral infections (MVI) are determined, and in persons over the age of 50, AI above 15.1 and MVI above 4.1 vascular lesion of the optic nerve disc is determined, and in persons aged 18 years and up to 40 years, with IAL up to 15 and MVI up to 4.0 an inflammatory disease of the optic disc is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides the differential diagnosis of vascular or inflammatory lesions of the optic disc with high accuracy in a short time.
