SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, hematology and X-ray diagnostics, and can be used for the differential diagnostics of leukemic optic neuropathy with other diseases of the optic nerve in patients with leukemia. Condition of the optic nerve head and the peripapillary retina is assessed using optical coherent tomography. Leukemic optic neuropathy is diagnosed in the presence of dense edema of the optic nerve head, which shields the visualization of the adjacent layers of the retina and, respectively, the lack of visualization of the peripapillary retinal layers, as well as the presence of multiple small hyperreflective foci in all layers of the retina at the border of the edematous peripapillary and normal retina.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of diagnostics of leukemic optic neuropathy during differentiation with other diseases of the optic nerve in patients with leukemia, with the possibility of developing adequate treatment tactics using optical coherent tomography.
