SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a storage medium processing apparatus and to a method for connecting units in a storage medium processing apparatus. Storage medium processing apparatus comprises: a first unit and multiple second units connected to the first unit. Each of the multiple second modules comprises the following: a transport mechanism used to transport the storage medium; and a storage medium detection node, which detects the storage medium transported via the transport mechanism and transmits a signal indicating the detection of the storage medium to the first unit. The first unit determines the order of connections of the multiple second units with the first unit based on the signal transmitted by each storage medium detection node from the multiple second units.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of mounting and easier assembly and installation of the multiple units attached to the main body of the apparatus.
