FIELD: cargo transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to security systems and processes in the field of cargo transportation. A system is proposed for automatically tracking each or a plurality of items related to a shipment as a group of co-located marks that are monitored to provide improved security of the shipment from influences or unauthorized or illegal actions that may jeopardize the safety of the shipment. The data processing system receives a plurality of location tracking signals of a plurality of shipment-related objects, associates the location tracking signals as a shipment group assigned a unique shipment tracking identifier, and presents the shipment group as a plurality of co-located marks in the shipment tracking user interface. The DPS monitors any unplanned deviations in at least one of the expected collocation/geography of location tracking signals, identifies specific types of unplanned deviations, and initiates a response sequence to protect the shipment. Unplanned deviations may include jamming signals, erroneous loading or theft of a shipment assigned to an operator, and unexpected separation of tracked objects.
EFFECT: increasing the safety of valuable cargo transportation at all stages of its transportation.
