FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear energy, in particular to the technology of radioactive waste treatment, and can be used to decontaminate spent ion exchange resins (IER). The method for processing ion-exchange resins containing cobalt-57 contaminated with hematite is carried out with a decontamination solution consisting of 1 M H2SO4 and 0.1 M FeSO4 at a temperature of 50°C.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the method for decontamination of spent ion-exchange resins.
