FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering, mainly to bicycle construction, associated with the mass production of individual vehicles on muscle traction. The wheel device contains a two-stage planetary gearbox inside its hub, where, in addition to a single carrier with two groups of satellites in the form of flat gears and a pair of sun wheels in the form of lantern drums of a carousel-turret type, there is also a single crown in the style of an openwork lantern drum of the “squirrel wheel” type and the only hollow shaft of power take-off of physical efforts from their external source with a rod inside, providing a choice of one of two possible modes of operation of the wheel as a leader.
EFFECT: improvement of the driving performance of the wheel, as well as a decrease in its material consumption and a decrease in the cost of production.
