SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, in particular to methods for monitoring the condition of vertical steel tanks. The method for remote monitoring of the subsidence of the foundation of the vertical steel tank includes the following stages. Receiving devices consisting of lined receiving plates, cameras with a LoRaWAN module for wireless data transmission and a battery are installed along the perimeter of the tank on its foundation. Reference poles with a controller equipped with a tilt control sensor, laser emitters, a GSM module for communication with a central server and a battery are installed at a distance from the tank. With a given frequency, laser emitters send a beam to each of the receiving devices of the tank to determine the possible displacement of the foundation relative to the emitter. The position of the beam on the plate is fixed using a camera, which sends data to the controller and then to the central server for subsequent processing and determination of displacements.
EFFECT: creation of an autonomous automated method for remote monitoring of the subsidence of the foundation of a vertical steel tank.
