SUBSTANCE: inventions group refers to medicine and discloses a pharmaceutical dosage form for treating a person suffering from a gastrointestinal disorder characterized by symptoms of diarrhea and/or flatulence or gas, containing: a capsule shell and a filling composition, where the filling composition contains an emulsion (a) of simethicone, ( b) loperamide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and (c) at least two surfactants, and wherein the emulsion has a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance in the range of 8 to 12. Also described are a method for preparing a pharmaceutical dosage form and a method for treating a person suffering from gastric - an intestinal disorder characterized by symptoms of diarrhea and/or flatulence or gas.
EFFECT: physical and chemical stability of the pharmaceutical composition of loperamide and simethicone included in the capsule, and the superior dissolution rate of loperamide.
