FIELD: cell biology; medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cell biology and medicine and discloses methods for diagnostics of a disease, disorder, or pathological condition associated with cell aging in a patient, as well as a method for determination of a biological age of a patient. For implementation of methods, according to the invention, first, a sample is obtained from the patient. Then, a number of aging cells, which are not erythrocytes, exhibiting advanced glycation end products (hereinafter – AGE) on a cell surface, in the sample, are measured. After that, the patient is diagnosed with a disease, disorder, or pathological condition associated with cell aging, where the number of cell exhibiting AGE on the cell surface, in the sample, is greater than a number of cells exhibiting AGE on a cell surface, in a reference sample. The reference sample is an average number of cells exhibiting AGE from a group of healthy patients having the same chronological age as the patient, from which the sample is obtained.

EFFECT: present invention allows for expansion of the arsenal of means for diagnostics of diseases, disorders, or conditions associated with cell aging, as well as methods for determination of a biological age.
