SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and fat industry. A method for preparing seeds of Nigella sowing (nigella) for oil production, which includes seed treatment before peeling by soaking in a hot solution with a certain temperature and sodium chloride concentration for a certain time to swell and peel off the shell from the seed kernel, separating the shell between two rubberized rolls installed with a gap and rotating towards each other with the same circumferential speed, characterized in that the soaking of seeds before peeling is carried out with electroactivated water - a catholyte with a pH value of 8.0–9.5 in an amount of 5–15%, with softening for 10–25 minutes at a temperature 25–35°C, the separation of the shell is carried out between two rubber-coated rolls, with a gap of 0.5–1.0 mm, while electroactivated water is obtained by electrolysis of a 1–2% NaCl aqueous solution, at a current strength of 0.5–0 .6 A, voltage 36 V, and water flow rate in the anode and cathode zones 5–10 cm³/h.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the grain tempering time, increase the completeness of the fruit shell removal and improve the quality of the resulting oil.
