FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: in the process of processing before peeling, seeds are soaked with a hot solution with an initial temperature of about 80°C and not less than 3.5% concentration of sodium chloride for 90 minutes for swelling and peeling off the shell from seed kernel. Seed treatment is carried out between two rubberized rollers, rotating towards each other at the same speed. Swollen seeds with shell detached from the kernel are fed into the gap between two rubber rolls. When the rubber rolls interact with the swollen seeds, the shell breaks and the kernel is squeezed out of it. In this case, the seed shell is completely separated from kernel and there are no losses in the mass of kernel with the waste of peeling.
EFFECT: improving the quality of seeds peeling.
