PROJECTION-TYPE SUPERFICIAL VEIN FINDER Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/103

Abstract RU 2788938 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: projection-based superficial vein finder consists of a video projection apparatus and a black-and-white video camera perpendicular thereto with an objective of said camera, wherein a pinhole occluder is located inside said objective. A green light filter configured to transmit infrared emission is installed between the objective and said black-and-white video camera. The black-and-white video camera is connected to the video signal processing board, also connected whereto are a green illumination emitter and an infrared illumination emitter. The video signal processing board is connected to a video projection apparatus. A semitranslucent mirror configured to pass visible emission of the video projection apparatus onto the skin of the object of imaging and direct the emission of both the above illuminations reflected by the skin of the object of imaging into the objective of the video camera is installed between the video projection apparatus and the objective of the video camera. The video signal processing board is configured to alternately activate the illumination emitters at times of exposure of the video camera matrix and to mutually subtract two analogue video signals received in the green and infrared emission spectrum regions in real time in order to clear the projected image from textural elements of the skin not associated with subcutaneous veins.

EFFECT: image of veins, clear of interfering textural elements of the skin, obtained in real time on the skin of the object of imaging, and higher value of contrast of the image of veins projected onto the skin.
