FIELD: physical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of materials in the form of multilayer reactive energy foils with the effect of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). Moreover, the initiation of the SHS reaction should be carried out from a low-current voltage source, for example, from a charged capacitor. The expected result is achieved by forming a photoresistive mask with at least two holes on the surface of the reaction energy foil. The holes are filled with conductive glue. Electrodes are glued to the glue drops, which serve to supply current to the surface of the foil. The electrodes can be in the form of thin wires (0.1-0.2 mm), or thin copper strips (up to 0.1 mm). The conductive glue fills the hole with a diameter d and a length l (the thickness of the photoresistive mask), while after drying and polymerization of the glue, a cylindrical resistor is built into the photoresist with terminals in the form of two electrodes (wires, copper strips).
EFFECT: developing a method for the electrical initiation of an SHS reaction by passing current through contacts attached to the surface of multilayer reaction energy foil.
