SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to measure the direction of stray currents in the area of underground pipelines. The substance of the invention lies in the fact that the device contains single indicators having the same cross-sectional area and located evenly at a certain angle along the diameters of the circumference of the circular outer frame, a common and information conductors, a switch of single indicators, a resistance meter of single indicators, N memory blocks, readout registers and blocks for selecting maximum values of serial data, a maximum value register, a block for forming a stream of transmitted data, a block for transmitting data, timers for polling periods and starting a cycle, a control block, a block for reading and indicating data, a comparator and a block for starting a cycle.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of measuring and fixing the direction of maximum corrosion exposure under the action of stray currents.
