SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for monitoring corrosion and stray currents along the entire length of an underground metal pipeline. System comprises single indicators, switch, conductivity measurement units, registers, dividers, squares calculation units, corrosion value and direction memory unit, control units, reception-transmission units, synchronization units, setter of maximum level of corrosion, comparison units, units for calculating arctangent, meters of stray currents, latches, stray current maximum values selection units, filters, stray current memory unit, stray current maximum level setting unit, information units of corrosion in transverse, longitudinal and perpendicular directions, information units for fixation of stray currents of industrial frequency.
EFFECT: higher reliability of operation of pipelines by measuring corrosion and stray currents of industrial frequency when exposed to external electric fields in the area of underground pipeline.
