SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for monitoring the direction and intensity of corrosion in the zone of underground metal pipelines. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that the device contains transverse, longitudinal and enclosing single indicators, circular frames and supporting conductors, switch, resistance meters, memory units, registers of reading and maximum values, corrosion rate calculation units, time correction unit, moisture sensor and corrector, timers, control and cycle start units, shift registers, units of preliminary data collection, formation of transmitted data flow and data transmission, computing units of the ratio of longitudinal and enveloping corrosion to transverse corrosion, registers of maximum corrosion value, a spatial corrosion adder and a data reading and display unit.
EFFECT: providing measurement of maximum total corrosion intensity and determination of corrosion ratios in longitudinal, transverse and enveloping directions relative to the pipeline.
