FIELD: thermal engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable fittings, in particular to devices for cable entry under thermal insulation in shock-resistant fire-explosion-proof design. The cable entry device is a one-piece inverted T-shaped hollow housing in the lower horizontal part with branches for cable entry under the thermal insulation of the pipe, and the upper vertical part is a fitting with an external thread for fixing the junction box with a nut. Inside the upper part of the housing there is a seat in the form of a truncated cone for sealing the cable fixed from below by a plate screwed to the housing. The internal transition between the upper and lower parts of the housing to the branches is made with a radius R of rounding, where 3d≤R≤10d, d is the diameter of the round cable, or 2b≤R≤10b, b is the thickness of the flat cable.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and efficiency of the pipeline heating system.
