SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and is a method for detecting the stimulating effect of pectin on lactic acid bacteria, characterized in that a suspension of the studied strain of lactic acid bacteria is prepared in a nutrient medium, a nutrient medium with pH≤5 is prepared with the addition of pectin and a nutrient medium with bile with the addition of pectin, as a control, a nutrient medium with low pH and with bile without pectin is used, then a suspension of the studied strain of lactic acid bacteria is added to the prepared nutrient media in the experiment and in the control, incubated, optical densities of experimental and control samples are measured and by measuring the growth of lactic acid bacteria in experimental samples compared with the control, the presence or absence of the stimulating effect of pectin is judged.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reveal the stimulating effect of pectin on the growth of lactic acid bacteria under conditions of low pH and bile.
