FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely neurology, pediatrics, oncology, and can be used for the rehabilitation of children with neurological complications induced by chemotherapy in acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Rehabilitation is carried out using a virtual reality system that reproduces a virtual environment with controls and stimulation of sensory modalities (visual, auditory, proprioceptive). Before and at the end of the rehabilitation course, the neurological condition is assessed according to the generally accepted methodology, supplemented by the Medical Research Council Weakness Scale (MRC), the Berg balance scale, and the calculation of walking speed. Additionally, the psycho-emotional state of the patient is determined using the Luscher color test and the graphic technique "Cactus" by M.A. Panfilova. The patient performs a set of exercises in a game format with full immersion in three-dimensional space. The rehabilitation course is 2 weeks and consists of 6 sessions, one workout per day with a frequency of 3 times a week, more if necessary. The duration of one session is 30 minutes, at the end of the training, the patient is tested according to the Simulator Sickness Questionnaire (SSQ) for symptoms of cyber disease.
EFFECT: method provides a strong multimodal feedback between the patient and the virtual image, improves the psycho-emotional state, motivates the child to train, which helps to increase the effectiveness of treatment.
