METHOD FOR REHABILITATION OF OBJECT-MANIPULATIVE ACTIVITY DISORDERS OF UPPER EXTREMITY BY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY IN VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT IN PATIENTS SUFFERING ISCHEMIC STROKE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61H1/00

Abstract RU 2817336 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to restorative medicine, physical rehabilitation medicine, neurology, and can be used in complex rehabilitation of patients suffering ischemic stroke in early and late recovery periods. Rehabilitation device is used to perform exercises from a set in which each exercise is based on a computer game in a virtual environment. With the help of visual control of movements in a simulator based on virtual reality technologies, a complex recovery of purposeful motor functions of a person is carried out to perform a certain household habit. Virtual reality glasses with software consisting of a virtual environment and control elements located in it are used. Game is controlled by rehabilitation gloves. Patient exercises upper extremities with simultaneous movement of the trunk and lower extremities. Due to association of virtual and real movements of a person, motor retraining takes place, and using multitasking allows intensifying the effect of neuroplasticity of the central nervous system.

EFFECT: method provides more effective recovery of the subject-manipulative function of the paretic hand, cognitive functions, postural stability, everyday life skills of patients after cerebral stroke.
