FIELD: oil refining, road or construction industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road bitumen production method and may be used in oil refining, road or construction industry and is aimed at simplifying the technology, as well as reducing energy costs. Method includes the vacuum residue oxidation followed by compounding of the oxidised product with a modifying component. Tar is oxidized at a temperature of 230-240°C to obtain oxidized residue with softening temperature of 38-43°C via ring-and-ball method, visbreaking vacuum residue is used as a modifying component with softening temperature of 60-80°C via ring-and-ball method at a following component ratio, wt.%: tar - 80-90, visbreaking vacuum residue - 10-20.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the road bitumen production technology and reduce energy costs by reducing the oxidation temperature, as well as reducing the process equipment coking.
