FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves vacuum fuel oil distillation at residual pressure of column top of 20-30 mm Hg so that weighted oil tar is obtained. Then, the obtained weighted oil tar is separated into two flows; some part of the flow is oxidised with air oxygen at the temperature of 220-230°C so that the product characterised with a needle penetration depth of 35-45·0.1 mm is obtained at the temperature of 25°C. Then, oxidised product is compounded with the second part of weighted oil tar in the ratio of 90:10 to 70:30 till the product with the needle penetration depth of 40-200·0.1 mm is obtained at the temperature of 25°C.
EFFECT: bitumen has increased operating characteristics, increased brittleness point after warm-up, which characterises frost resistance of asphalt-concrete mixture, and increased tensibility after warm-up, which provides strength and water resistance of asphalt-concrete mixture.
