FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Mechanism of rotation of the tower contains a gearbox having a kinematic chain of gear pairs of gears connected with the serrated crown of the gear, made according to a double-flow scheme with the power engagement of two threads with the gear crown. Backlash between the intermediate gear wheel and the main gear in the form of an elastic element - torsion, is made only on one of the threads, on the other stream the intermediate gear wheel is rigidly connected with the main gear, for example a backlash-free cone clutch. Exposing the moment of backlash on the stream with the backlash device, equal to the value of the moment of load, the gap will be selected between the main gear of this stream, the tower shoulder strap and the intermediate gear wheel, which, while rolling, will also choose the gap between the main gear of another stream and the shoulder strap.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of the drive rotation of the tower by increasing the rigidity of the mechanism.
