FIELD: explosive works.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to explosive works; it is intended for an increase in their safety due to attenuation of shock waves (SW) in underwater explosions and reduction in impact of the explosion on the environment. A device for attenuation of shock waves of an underwater explosion includes a shielding screen made in the form of lattices or shells of water-permeable fabric, filled with porous material. Closed-cell polyethylene foam with apparent density from 29 to 70 kg/m3 is used as a filler for shells.
EFFECT: attenuation of shock waves of an underwater explosion.
