FIELD: structural materials mechanical characteristics determination.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for determining the mechanical characteristics of structural materials, taking into account the conditions of their use. The sample is heated in air at a rate of up to 100°C/s by means of an intermediate heating element made of a refractory electrically conductive material with high oxidation resistance, heated by an induction heater to a temperature of 200 - 1700°C, while the sample is placed inside the heating element. The compressive strength of the sample is determined.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of determining the tensile strength of the material under conditions close to the operating conditions of products of aviation and rocket technology.
