SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of capsules for a food product or a beverage, having a hollow case, which contains an ingredient for making a food product or a beverage. Capsule (1) for making a food product or a beverage contains hollow case (2) made with the possibility of being pierced for supply of liquid inside capsule (1), chamber (10) formed inside case (2) and containing an ingredient, membrane (9) covering a hole formed in a lower end of chamber (10). An edge of membrane is attached to rim (12) surrounding the hole, using a fastener, which forms a seal between case (2) and membrane (9), as well as a means for opening located outside chamber (10) near membrane (9) and made with the possibility of opening of membrane during its pressing against the specified means for opening under opening pressure. Part of membrane (9), which is surrounded with the seal, has an increased surface area from 110% to 140% of an area of a flat surface surrounded with the specified seal.

EFFECT: provision of an additional surface area for interaction of membrane with a means for opening without its stretching or at least without its significant stretching.
