SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computerized methods and systems for synchronizing sensors used by an unmanned vehicle (SDV) for navigation, in particular to synchronizing a lidar (LIDAR) and a camera. A method for synchronizing data for operation of an unmanned vehicle comprises: causing, by means of an electronic device, a camera system and a lidar system, to provide image data and map data to the electronic device at a common time reference, determining, by means of the electronic device, a first timestamp for map data, a second timestamp for the image data; and a time offset between the first timestamp and the second timestamp. The time offset is used to initiate a delay between successive snapshots generated by the camera system.
EFFECT: reliability of the system during operation is increased.
