FIELD: detection equipment.
SUBSTANCE: present technology, in general, relates to light detection and ranging systems (LiDAR) and to methods for detection of objects in the environment of an autonomous vehicle; and, in particular, to lidar systems and methods for detection of objects in the desired area of interest in the environment. A scanner for a lidar system of an autonomous vehicle contains: a hub component containing a hub case, which is rotated around the axis of rotation of the hub; at least three mirror components movably connected to the hub component, each mirror component has: a front side with a reflecting surface for direction of incident light beams; and a rear side with a connector for attachment of at least three mirror components to the hub component with corresponding reflecting surfaces facing outward, wherein the connector is made with the possibility of permission of rotation of the mirror component together with the hub component and permission of a tilt of the mirror component around the tilt axis of the mirror, which is transverse to the axis of rotation of the hub.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability, as well as quality of determination of a location and navigation of an unmanned vehicle, increase in driving safety due to reception of more accurate information about surrounding objects.
