FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to functional diagnostic methods, and can be used to predict cognitive impairment in young children with purulent meningitis (GM). In the acute period, in the first 10 days from the onset of the disease, monoural one-stage stimulation is performed with short clicks at a frequency of 12 Hz and an intensity of 110 dB using ear phones. The amplitude of visualization of peak VI is determined. If the VI peak amplitude is less than 0.09 μV, the development of cognitive impairment after purulent meningitis is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides increased accuracy of predicting cognitive impairment in children of early childhood after undergoing GM by assessing the amplitude of visualization of peak VI.
