FIELD: nuclear energy and laser measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear energy and laser measurement technology and is intended for use at nuclear power plants (NPP) for monitoring the atmosphere in the area where the NPP is located. The laser system contains laser generators, photodetector units, controlled spectral filters, fiber optic lines, an open optical resonator, matrices of corner reflectors, a telescope and an unmanned aerial vehicle with a matrix of corner reflectors placed on its board. A distinctive feature of the invention is the use of a UAV to deliver an effective reflective element - a matrix of corner reflectors - to any point in the controlled space above the NPP location area. The use of a laser system makes it possible to ensure continuous and operational monitoring of the state of the atmosphere over large areas in the area of the NPP and the detection of an emergency at the early stages of its development.
EFFECT: increasing the sensitivity and accuracy of measuring the level of concentration of molecular iodine and other uranium fission products in the atmosphere in the vicinity of the NPP.
