FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to sintered powder friction materials based on copper. It can be used to work in friction units of machines and mechanisms in the presence of lubrication. Sintered friction material based on copper contains tin and carbon obtained by pyrolysis (UPMP), wt.%: tin - 5-8, UPMP - 7-9, copper - the rest. The UPMP powder has a size of 10-100 microns.
EFFECT: increase in the coefficient of friction, increase in the stability of the moment of friction forces, the coefficient of thermal conductivity and the resistance of the friction material to the formation of scuffing in the process of slipping.
