FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to production of friction products intended for operation in friction units of machines and mechanisms under liquid friction conditions. The method includes applying and pre-baking a freely poured layer of friction material based on copper, tin and coke powders onto a steel carrier base, its additional compaction by pressing with a force of up to 2.5 t/cm2 and sintering. At the same time, copper and coke powders are pre-mixed in a mixer with grinding media taken in an amount of 3/1-4/1 by weight of the initial powder materials. As grinding media, steel grinding media with a hardness of 50-60 HRC and a diameter of 100-150 times larger than the used coke powder particles are used. After mixing, tin powder is added to the resulting mixture.
EFFECT: provides increase in the coefficient of friction, the stability of the moment of friction forces and the reduction of wear.
