FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in autonomous power plants that provide power to the drive systems of mining machines, having a power commensurate with the source. The device comprises a diesel engine (1) with a speed controller (2); a synchronous generator (3) with an excitation current controller (4); a three-phase frequency converter (5); current (6) and voltage (8) sensors; a controller (7); a setting block (9); switchgear (10) with first (11) and second (12) switching devices; first (13) and second (14) cables. The electrical equipment of the transported mining machine (15) comprises a driving asynchronous motor (16) and an auxiliary transformer (17). The electrical equipment of the mining machine's own needs in all operating modes is powered by a stabilized source – a three-phase frequency converter (5). This ensures reliable operation of all control systems of the transported mining machine. The start of the asynchronous motor (16) occurs with simultaneous regulation of the frequency and voltage of the synchronous generator (3). In case of frequency start, the current and power consumed from the diesel generator station are limited. In the haul mode at reduced load of the driving asynchronous motor, the frequency and voltage of the synchronous generator are reduced in order to reduce power and increase the energy efficiency of the diesel generator station.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of electrical equipment and the energy efficiency of a diesel generator station when transporting mining machines with driving asynchronous motors, such as electro-hydraulic excavators.
