FIELD: organic and polymeric chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic and polymeric chemistry, in particular to a method for preparing 4-carboxyphenylcycloalkandicarboxylic acid (10a,b) containing norbornane and cyclohexane fragments. Parent compounds (11a,b) are hydrolysed by means of boiling. Then benzene alkylation and acetylation with acetyl chloride are performed in one step. Then the obtained product (9a,b) is oxidized with sodium hypobromite to the target compound.

EFFECT: invention improves the 4-carboxyphenylcycloalkandicarboxylic acid preparation method by reducing synthesis time, the amount of process stages and to increase the target product yield.
