FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method for the production of micronized flakes for horse feeding is characterized by that sieving is carried out, grain is moistened with water with a temperature of 16-20°C, with hydraulic module of 1:4, from 1 minute to 10 minutes, or water with a temperature of 40-60°C for 2-4 minutes, followed by softening for 48-72 hours for corn, and for 4 fours for barley, wheat, oat, and pea until a moisture content of 26-28%, or grain is moistened with steam under pressure of 0.2-0.3 MPa for 2-3 minutes until a temperature of 95-97°C. Then, moistened grain is subjected to infrared heating – micronizing for 90-408 seconds until a temperature of 100-120°C, with a heat flow density of 10-12 kW/m2 until a moisture content of 9-13%. After that, micronized grain is subjected to flattening in a two-roll flattener with a gap between rolls of 0.8-1.0 mm and cooling-drying by blowing with air with a temperature of 18-22°C for 5-6 min until a final moisture content of grain flakes of 6-8%.

EFFECT: invention allows for development of a method for the production of micronized flakes for horse feeding, which allows for an increase in a dextrin content in grain, improvement of taste properties and eatability of fodders, increase in a nutritional value of carbohydrate and protein complexes of cereals and legumes, reduction in energy costs of an animal body for digestion of nutrients of fodder, inactivation of antinutrients, and improvement of a sanitary condition, increase in an energy value of micronized flakes, reduction in average daily consumption by horses of fodder made of micronized grain.
