SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapy, and can be used to relieve pain syndromes. The method includes prolonged intravenous administration of a propofol solution with an active substance content of 10 mg/ml. In parallel with the introduction of the propofol solution, intravenous prolonged administration of a 25% aqueous solution of magnesium sulfate is carried out, while the propofol solution is administered at a dose of 0.5 to 8 ml/hour, and the magnesium sulfate solution is administered at a dose of 0.2 to 2 ml/hour.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to effectively stop pain syndromes at a reduced dose of propofol due to its combination with magnesium sulfate.
