FIELD: aerosol production.

SUBSTANCE: device generating an aerosol with an axially movable induction heater is claimed. The aerosol generating device contains a cavity for the placement of an aerosol generating product containing an aerosol forming substrate. It also contains an induction heating unit. The induction heating unit contains a susceptor unit and an inductor coil. The inductor coil is positioned in such a way as to at least partially surround the acceptor assembly. The inductor coil is made axially movable with the possibility of moving along the susceptor unit. The induction heating unit contains a guide element made with the possibility of directing the axial movement of the inductor coil. The inductor coil is designed to move at least to the first heating position and the second heating position around the cavity. The susceptor unit contains at least the first susceptor and the second susceptor, which are located at a distance from each other along the longitudinal axis of the aerosol generating device. The inductor coil is designed to be movable to surround the first susceptor corresponding to the first heating position and the second susceptor corresponding to the second heating position.

EFFECT: creation of a device generating an aerosol with the possibility of partial heating of the substrate forming the aerosol.
