SUBSTANCE: metallurgy, namely to low-temperature steel used for the manufacture of rods. Steel has the following chemical composition, wt.%: carbon 0.15-0.25, silicon 0.10-0.50, manganese 0.60-1.50, chromium 0.3-1.20, molybdenum 0,20-0.80, nickel 2.00-4.00, niobium 0-0.10, boron 0.0010-0.0050, vanadium 0-0.12, titanium 0.003-0.06, aluminum 0.01- 0.08, copper not more than 0.30 and / or calcium not more than 0.005, the rest is iron and inevitable impurities. The microstructure of the steel is represented by tempered martensite and tempered bainite.
EFFECT: proposed steel has high tensile strength, reaching 1150 MPa, as well as high impact strength at low temperatures.
