SUBSTANCE: steel contains, wt %: carbon 0.35 - 0.55, manganese 0.6 -1.2, silicon 0.9 - 2.5, phosphorus 0.01 max., sulfur 0.001 max., chrome 0.75 - 2.0, nickel 3.3 - 7.0, copper 0.5 - 0.6, cobalt 0.01 max., Mo and/or W, provided that Mo+1/2W makes 0.4 - 1.3, V and/or Nb, provided that V+(5/9)×Nb makes 0.2 - 1.0, iron and regular contaminants - balance. For steel components the following ratio 2 ≤ (%Si+%Cu) / (%V+(5/9)×%Nb) ≤ 14 is achieved.

EFFECT: steel has high impact resilience and resistance to tempering.
