SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A soluble pyridine nucleotide transhydrogenase comprising the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 is proposed, in which the alanine, an amino acid corresponding to position 145 in SEQ ID NO: 3, is replaced by valine. A polynucleotide encoding the soluble pyridinnucleotide transhydrogenase, an Escherichia coli microorganism, which produces L-tryptophan and contains the soluble pyridinnucleotide transhydrogenase or a polynucleotide encoding the soluble pyridinnucleotide transhydrogenase, and a method for producing L-tryptophan are also proposed.

EFFECT: invention provides for increasing the L-tryptophan yield.
