FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and may be used in installations, including thermal power plants, hydrogen generators containing at least one electrolyzer with the operating principle based on the electrolytic decomposition of water into oxygen and hydrogen. The technical result, to which the invention proposed for protection is aimed, is to improve accuracy of the electric current, quality of the power supply, reduce interference from an external source of electricity, and increase the efficiency of electrolyzers. This result is achieved by the electronic power supply control unit of the electrolyzers including a current sensor, a temperature sensor, a control unit, a pulse generator, and a controller. The electronic power supply control unit of the electrolyzers is configured as a module connected to a single-phase or three-phase external power supply system and containing a power board and a control unit in the form of a system control board, interconnected by means of a galvanic isolator and equipped with independent internal power supply units. Therein, depending on the power supply system used, an appropriate number of independent power supply channels for electrolyzers are organized through the power board. Each channel contains interconnected in series a noise suppressing input filter, a measuring unit connected through a converter common to all channels and configured in a form of a diode bridge with capacity storages and the number of storages corresponding to the number of channels, to a common DC filter, to which pulse generators in the form of PWM-units of each channel are connected. Each PWM-unit is connected to at least one cell and is independently controlled by the central processor of the control system board through a galvanic isolator connected with the fan control system, network interfaces, including RJ-45 Industrial Ethernet, Modbus TCP, which ensures the operation of electronic unit and connected with an external automated control system, and RS-485 Configuration, responsible for configuring the software and subsequent diagnostics of the electronic unit. The measuring unit, the PWM unit and the DC filter are equipped with voltage and current sensors, each of which has its own signal converter, through which the incoming information is transmitted to the central controller, which controls the analog demultiplexer connected to the analog-to-digital converter via the address bus, and connected to the control system board through the galvanic insulator. The current sensors installed in the DC filter are based on the Hall effect. The system board ensures the interaction of the electronic control unit with external devices and monitors the status of all units of the electronic unit and the operation of the electrolyzers with the possibility of mathematical calculation of the efficiency of the entire installation and the efficiency of the electrolyzers.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of the electric current, better quality of the power supply, reduced interference from an external source of electricity, and increased efficiency of electrolyzers.
