FUEL STORAGE AND SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE FUEL CELLS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC B60K3/00

Abstract RU 2791475 C1

FIELD: fuel industry.

SUBSTANCE: systems for storing and supplying fuel to fuel cells as part of electrochemical generators designed to generate electricity and power traction batteries and traction motors of electric vehicles and other highly automated vehicles. The fuel storage and supply system for fuel cells contains at least two composite hydrogen cylinders interconnected by stainless steel tubes, which in turn are connected through an adapter to a high pressure reducer and a filling unit containing a filling coupler and a pressure gauge. The high pressure reducer is connected to the low pressure reducer with a nylon tube. The stainless steel tube in the area between the adapter and the filling coupler has a U-shaped compensation bend, and in the area between the compensation bend and the adapter, the tube contains clips for fastening to the vehicle frame. The low pressure reducer has an outlet for connection with the fuel cell inlet of the electrochemical generator.

EFFECT: increased safety of using high-pressure fuel storage and supply systems as part of moving vehicle structural elements.
