FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to installations for organic waste combustion; it is intended for afterburning and purification of flue gases from dust. An afterburner for flue gas afterburning contains a vertical cylindrical case with a combustion chamber located in, it in the form of a vertical cylindrical pipe, a branch pipe for flue gas supply from a furnace, a burner device located below the afterburner, a cap located with a gap above the combustion chamber, providing rotation of flue gases for 180° at an output from the combustion chamber and discharge of gas between the gap and the afterburner case to a chimney, while a length of the cap is greater than a width of an outlet in a lower part of the cap. The afterburner is installed right above the furnace, the burner device for heating flue gases to a temperature of more than 1000°C is located at an input to the combustion chamber, a speed of a flue gas flow in the combustion chamber is maintained for no more than 3-5 m/s, and a speed of the flue gas flow after rotation, when moving down, is maintained for no more than 2 m/s, a lens compensator is installed at an output of the afterburner, on its case, and the afterburner case is covered with mullite-silicon mats with a thickness of 100 mm.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of purification of flue gases from harmful components: ash, soot, resin substances, and organic compounds.
